Superman Returns-1978

I always look forward to the return of Superman. In my lifetime I've seen the Big Guy return from TV reruns to all-new animated adventures to the 1975 TV musical version (which I just saw again and we really don't want to talk about it!) to the four big screen adventures to even more all new cartoons, LOIS AND CLARK and beyond. Right now, in spite of my current financial situation, I plan on Brandon Routh and Bryan Singer's version being perhaps the ONLY movie I see this year in a theater. That said, here's a quick flashback to 1978 when Christopher Reeve was just about to make us all believe a man could fly. If only this clipping made me believe a newspaper could see when they've REVERSED THE PHOTO!!! AARRGGHH!!!

...and before Jehovah was Yehweh (if I'm misspelling fine, cause the third name is spell right)and before Yehweh was El... at least according to Middle Eastern mythology... El as in Jor-El, as in Kal-El... could a couple of jewish kids from Ohio named Siegel and Shuster have known that, or did it linger on the shores of their consciousnesses to the Ocean of Big Mind... what Christ and Kal-El most share in common, and the reason Kal-El is referred to as Superman, is Strength with Compassion... Kal-El has enough strength to selfishly rule the cosmos, but chooses instead to serve others for goodness' sake... you know, my biggest worry with the Christ myth is millions of people expect the coming of the anti-Christ to be inevitable. So some guy who wants to rule the world can call himself the antiChrist and Christians would get out of his way because its inevitable Biblical prophecy anyway, and will only usher in the second coming of Christ... except, what if the mythology is endorsed by centuries' old elite to clear the way for Globalization, and after the Christians clear the way for the anti-Christ to bring closer the day of their blessed Lord's return, they find out it was all a fairytale to manipulate the crowning of the One selfish Man who guised himself as the antiChrist, and now that he has secured the throne, it can be revealed there ain't no savior coming... so the shielded serpent is the emblem of Superman, and the white in red and blue is tempered to gold... and only humankind can serve and affect human history...
