Here are some--nowhere near all--of Jack Davis's typically wonderful illustrations from 1964's THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES' BOOK OF COUNTRY HUMOR.

Diagnosis Murder by Linda Alexander

I can't ethically review this new book by Linda J Alexander since I actually contributed the 150 or so pages of Episode Guide and trivia section that makes up most of the book's backmatter, but I got my copy this week and am enjoying the heck out of it. I never watched the show when it was running for over a decade but I've seen them all now and I love it! As Linda says, it's "comfort" TV, so you'd never believe how complicated things sometimes got behind the scenes! If you were ever a fan of Dick Van Dyke or DIAGNOSIS MURDER, Linda has written an extremely well-researched, engrossing companion book!

Monkees News April, 1969

I thought the most interesting thing in this article was Davy saying that Peter was now associated with his old pal Stephen Stills and Buffalo Springfield. Apparently Davy didn't realize that that notoriously volatile group was in the process of breaking up. In fact, it had been nearly a year since Stills had teamed with David Crosby and they met Graham Nash. The first CSN LP had already been recorded and was released a month after this article. Imagine, though, had the timing been slightly different, we may well have ended up with Crosby, Stills, and Tork!
