Inker Johnny Craig was a specialist at drawing dark, rain-drenched, city streets back in the day so I can't hep but wonder if Marie (and Roy?) were playing to his strengths with this oh-so wet splash!The lighting effects from the colorist add much to this page as does the drippy lettering on the title. The tri-panel look and the scroll text box are also rather innovative for the period and combine to nice effect to make one really want to get quickly into the story even as you want to just stay and FEEL the downpour from the page!
