Chuck Jones-1998
Here is a loooong, excellent quality interview with the great animator and cartoon producer Chuck Jones. If you're a fan of the classic Looney Tunes, set aside the time and enjoy!
The classic Warner Brother cartoons were studied by the students of the Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Clown College alongside the giants of silent comedies, the Marx Brothers, Monty Python, etc. In fact, during his tenure as the director of the school, Steve Smith, a friend of Chuck Jones, would invite Mr. Jones to talk to the students. On the road with the circus in 1995, he stopped by backstage to chat briefly with us in clown alley. I was too star struck to ask him anything but recall he was very soft spoken and eager to answer any question we'd pose. In retrospect, I would have liked to have asked him why Bugs Bunny kept taking a wrong turn in Albuquerque. I wonder if anyone really knows?
Though I am not a fan of the classic Looney Tunes now, I like the interview, and his talking style!
