As many of you know, we've been promoting the book ITALIAN SLOW COOKING by food expert Ellen Brown over the past few weeks. As part of that promotion, I've used a slow cooker for the first time in decades and learned quite a bit about cooking Italian foods.
I also used wine in cooking for the first time, tasted lamb for the first time, used various spices--both fresh and dried--for the first time and learned to really enjoy beans (other than baked beans which I always enjoyed).
Here are the four recipes we actually produced here in the Booksteve Kitchen over the past month or so and I can personally report that all the recipes worked relatively easily and that the results, in every case, led to a truly delicious Mediterranean-flavored meal!
If you like slow cooking and/or Italian food, there is a lot of good stuff in this modestly priced cookbook now due out officially next month but pre-orderable through the Amazon link elsewhere on this page.
BOOKSTEVE RECOMMENDS!
