Syd Barrett-Octopus




One of my favorite songs from one of my favorite tragic rock geniuses. There's a new Syd Barrett compilation coming out that combines for the first time his best sol tracks with his best Pink Floyd material.

sadly, David Gilmoure has added new backing tracks of guitars,drums, etc to many of the sparse recordings left behind by Barrett in an effort to "finish" the "incomplete songs", leaving us to speculate as to what the very few unreleased traacks may have sounded like before he got his hands on them.
