Hey, where were some of THESE guys when Alan Moore rolled the sixties Charlton characters around in the dirt and turned 'em into WATCHMEN? That green guy looks like the Dragonfly from the recent (and painful to watch for the most part) SUPERHERO MOVIE! I love the look on the face of the guy with the naked legs, too. I mean, he looks a tad soused. Guy on the right does sorta resemble Captain Metropolis.
Ah, yes, the Charlton heroes who appeared in Sinestro, Boy Fiend.
ReplyDeleteExcept that the only real Charlton heroes that appeared were Peacemaker and the Ted Kord Blue Beetle. The others had their first and only appearance in this comic, that appeared in the try-out title Charlton Premiere.
It wouldn't be until Charlton brought out E-Man that we had a nod to the Charlton heroes when we say posters and action figures in a kid's room in one issue. That was it until the last gasps during the Charlton Bullseye stuff toward the end of the company's existance.
