Yesterday, at least for a trial period, we started receiving the daily CINCINNATI ENQUIRER for the first time in about 20 years. Readers of my Geek's Journal blogs may recall my noting that my first job was as night janitor at the Social Security Office. Well, somewhere around 1980, the local newspapers took over that office, combining certain departments for both THE ENQUIRER and the POST. I stayed with the building so technically, that was my second job. Just prior to that, however, here from 1978, is a letter I had published in THE CINCINNATI ENQUIRER defending the comics page. When we got our first issue yesterday, I could barely even SEE the comics page! Things change.
