Zappa on Today-1993



Suffering from prostate cancer, Frank's still recognizable here on this late TODAY appearance but he seems resigned to his eventual fate. He's still surly though, still interesting, still philosophical and...well...still Frank Zappa!

Gawd, I STILL miss the maestro. I've seen this clip several times before, and every time, I get weepy - it's hard to see such a wonderfully belligerent musical genius on camera with all of the wind out of his sails. And that's on a good day. The musical world still hasn't caught up with Zappa. At least there's still tons of recorded material that may someday be released...
