D-Day-June 6th, 1944
My Dad was a "male nurse" who stayed behind in England awaiting casualties returned across the Channel. He always remembered D-Day itself as a day he lost a lot of dice games. The next day he wouldn't talk about. Ever.
A big salute to all those men who were there that day. My uncle was on the boats that took the solders to the beach and back.
