From TV CENTURY 21 #s 1-5, Jan-Feb, 1965. Never reprinted anywhere since because Alan Fennell (the editor) didn't think the art was on the same par as Mike Noble's, who took over with #6. (Alan told me this himself back in around '94/'95.)
First published in 1968 (I was 9!), I have been writing professionally part-time for more than two decades. I have been freelancing for various authors, editors and publishers for the past three years on the behind-the-scenes tasks of writing.

I didn't know that about the artists. I do agree the later stuff was better but that hardly means this stuff wasn't good!
I like it myself. Despite a few rough spots, it more than makes up in atmosphere what it loses in accuracy as far as the shape of XL5 is concerned.
