Tis the season. I grew up a monster kid and although I'm not as big on horror movies as I once was, there are still many, many monster and horror movies from over the years that mean a lot to me. Here we see literally a small selection, starting--above--with my very first favorite horror movie!
Some really great ones there. I love the feel of HOHH. Ever see Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things? It was the first zombie movie I ever saw as a kid. It gave me a good chill. I didn't see it for decades until it finally became available on disc. I still love it.
ReplyDeleteThe horror movie that scared me more than any other wasn't even horror...or a movie, but an animated cartoon: Disney's "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow." I saw it when I was about 9 and I don't think I slept for the next couple of years. Oh, yeah...Godzilla gave me a fright when it came out in '54, but I was only 7.
