The Big 3, eh? Sterling Comics? If it wasn't for the fact that this is definitely a real ad, this in-house plug for CAPTAIN FLASH and his friends looks almost faked!

Big 3 indeed-- a quick check on GCD shows that 'Captain Flash' ran for 4 whole issues while 'After Dark' and 'Surprise Adventures' only had 3 issues each... the other Sterling titles (all in '54 and '55)were 'Superior Stories' (4 issues), 'My Secret Confessions' (1 issue) 'The Tormented' (2 issues), and 'The Informer' (5 issues and not even one of the ''big 3'').
First published in 1968 (I was 9!), I have been writing professionally part-time for more than two decades. I have been freelancing for various authors, editors and publishers for the past three years on the behind-the-scenes tasks of writing.
