Here are a couple of interesting ads from an early/mid-forties issue of ACTION COMICS. Ignore the unfortunate
stereotype in the SUPERMAN ad ( reproduced here only for historical purposes natch)and you'll note that absolutely everything had a military theme in those days back here on the Home Front. Even the candy bar ads!
