The Filmation ARCHIE cartoons that hit TV screens in the late sixties really aren't that good. In fact, with their silly stories, overpowering laugh tracks and often shrill and grating voices (including those of Howie Morris and Dal McKennon) they are, these days, somewhat cringe-inducing to me. That said, they were favorites at the time and nostalgia doesn't take quality into account.
