From yesterday's discovery of COVER BROWSER, here's a few more weirdly nifty LP and single covers. There's another overcrowded Jack Davis one, a GREEN HORNET guest appearance, a BRIDES OF DRACULA image on a MONSTER MASH cash-in by cartoon voice artist Bob McFadden (note the writer! Popular '60's poet Rod McKuen!!), a bizarre one from radio (and later TV's) Ralph Edwards, a second (from the looks of it) album sponsered by Joe Simon's SICK and seemingly ripping off the successful FIRST FAMILY LPs of the Camelot years and finally a whole album by a series of fondly remembered talking fruit flavor drink mix characters!
The local public library had Al Hirt's "The Horn Meets The Hornet" album when I was growing up in the 1970s. I checked it out as often as I could until I finally got a portable cassette player and taped it off in the 1980s. The public library did away with their record collection in the mid to late 1990s and I have never seen that album since.
ReplyDeleteAre these your albums or are you just finding these gems. Reminds me when Letterman would do "Dave's Record Collection" which featured many of these gems. Good stuff.
