I found this completely different ad for DIRTY TRICKS, our most recently discussed movie that fell through the cracks (BOOKSTEVE'S LIBRARY: Movies That Fell Through The Cracks # 8 )and couldn't for the life of me think of any use for it except to share it with you. This sneak preview piece emphasizes my contention that the picture's main goal was to break Kate Jackson on the big screen. Note the prominence of (at least one of) her multi-million dollar insured legs. What those guys are doing down there with them is THEIR business! The fact that George Washington does NOT appear at all in this version plays up the fact that the plot is incidental to...Kate Jackson. I personally adore Kate so let's just say she needed a better agent back in 1981.
I remember that sneak ad! And the fact that the ad campaign was different when the movie finally opened.
